Tenejapan, Córdoba, Veracruz | June 19, 2025

On June 19th, the CEO of Casa Tostadora Briones, José Manuel Hernández García, met with the leaders of 188 coffee producers from the community of Tenejapan, located in Córdoba, Veracruz. This landmark meeting marks a new chapter in our mission to strengthen Mexico’s coffee sector through transparency, fair partnerships, and a strong local presence.

The event was also attended by representatives from Mexico’s national reforestation and rural development program, Sembrando Vida, who emphasized the value of productive alliances that foster real, long-term impact in rural communities.

During his visit, Hernández García toured coffee farms, listened to the growers’ voices, their daily challenges, and their aspirations for growth. This direct, human-centered approach reaffirms Casa Tostadora Briones’ commitment to building trust, promoting fair trade, and empowering producers at origin.

“This is more than just a meeting—it’s the beginning of a collective transformation. We believe that in order to position Mexican coffee globally, we must start by recognizing and dignifying the work of our coffee producers in their own communities,” said Hernández García.

Education as a Tool for Transformation

A cornerstone of this new alliance is the reinvestment in producer education. Through technical training, quality control workshops, and capacity-building programs, Casa Tostadora Briones aims to enhance productivity and knowledge among coffee growers, ensuring a competitive, resilient future for Mexican coffee.

United by a Shared Vision

This partnership is a major step forward in our vision to bring Mexican coffee to the world with a face and a story—highlighting not only its exceptional flavor, but the identity, effort, and heritage behind every bean.

Now more than ever, Mexican coffee has strength, origin, and a future. And that future is being built hand in hand with the people who make it possible.
